[00:00:20] Welcome to Mini Meditations. I'm Jill Stanley, co host of the Common Mystics podcast.
[00:00:27] It's been a challenging few weeks since we stepped over the threshold into the year of 2025.
[00:00:34] If you're feeling overwhelmed with rage, worry, or anxiety, we created this special meditation just for you.
[00:00:43] Take a moment to pause, breathe, and let's find our calm again.
[00:00:55] Begin by finding a comfortable position.
[00:00:59] Whether seated or lying down.
[00:01:04] Let your body settle into relaxation.
[00:01:11] When you're ready, close your eyes.
[00:01:17] Take a deep breath in through your nose.
[00:01:23] Slowly exhale through your mouth.
[00:01:28] Feel the air fill your lungs, and notice the release as you let it all out.
[00:01:38] Inhale deeply again, filling your lungs completely.
[00:01:45] And exhale, allowing any tension to melt away.
[00:01:53] Continue this pattern of deep, intentional breathing, letting each breath guide you into a more relaxed state.
[00:02:09] As you're breathing, imagine a soft, radiant white light surrounding you with.
[00:02:22] With every inhale, the light grows brighter, wrapping you in warmth and peace.
[00:02:37] Picture yourself walking along a gentle path.
[00:02:43] With each step, you feel lighter, calmer, and more at ease.
[00:02:52] Eventually, you arrive at a large, bright white room.
[00:02:59] The walls are smooth and pristine, emitting a sense of purity and serenity.
[00:03:08] You step inside, feeling the soft, cool marble floor beneath your feet.
[00:03:16] Notice how spacious and tranquil the room feels.
[00:03:21] It's a sanctuary just for you.
[00:03:29] In the center of the room stands a towering mason jar, nearly 8ft tall.
[00:03:39] Its glass surface gleams, reflecting the light that fills the room.
[00:03:46] As you approach, you notice the jar glowing with a brilliant white light.
[00:03:53] And within that light shimmers golden orbs, floating serenely.
[00:04:07] Each orb represents a thought, feeling, or concern you've been carrying.
[00:04:13] A snapshot of a moment, a lingering worry, or an emotion that's been weighing on you.
[00:04:27] Pause for a moment to reflect on what's been troubling you.
[00:04:33] One by one, acknowledge each thought or feeling.
[00:04:40] Visualize it clearly, whether it be a person, a work situation, or a symbol, like an emoji.
[00:04:54] Then notice that each of these visualized images have been imprinted onto its very own golden orb.
[00:05:14] Now, the lid of the mason jar slowly unscrews and just opens enough to create a quiet whirling sound as the jar pulls in all your golden orbs of troubles.
[00:05:35] One by one, your worries, fears, and stresses are drawn inside.
[00:05:45] Once the final orb has been collected, the lid seals shut, locking them safely away.
[00:06:00] You approach the jar, and as you're making your way to the jar, you notice, lying nearby, a hammer.
[00:06:17] It's the mighty hammer of Thor.
[00:06:21] In this moment, you realize it's time to release the energy of your worries for good.
[00:06:32] Grasp the hammer and strike the Mason jar with intention and force.
[00:06:41] With each swing, you see the golden orbs inside beginning to dissolve.
[00:06:50] The jar quivers with every blow, and your troubles flicker and fade as you keep going. You feel lighter and freer with every orb that disappears.
[00:07:07] Keep striking the jar until no orb remains, until every last trace of your worries has dissolved into nothingness.
[00:07:24] When the jar is empty, pause and feel the shift.
[00:07:31] The room seems brighter, the air lighter, and a profound sense of relief washes over you.
[00:07:45] Take a deep breath and appreciate the weight of your worries that has lifted completely from your being.
[00:07:57] You are now fully surrounded by peace, clarity and light.
[00:08:06] Take a moment to enjoy the stillness of the white room.
[00:08:11] Remember, this is a space you can return to whenever life feels too heavy.
[00:08:18] This is your sanctuary for releasing thoughts and feelings that no longer serve you.
[00:08:28] Visualize the Mason jar once more, now glowing softly, sealed shut.
[00:08:38] Preserving those thoughts far away from you, begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
[00:08:52] Take a few grounding breaths and notice the surface beneath you, the rhythm of your heartbeat, and the air around you.
[00:09:03] Whenever you're ready, gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
[00:09:11] Slowly open up your eyes, allowing yourself time to adjust as you return to the present moment.
[00:09:23] Carry the sense of peace and lightness with you.
[00:09:29] And remember, you can revisit the white room and the Mason jar anytime you need to release and be refreshed.
