[00:00:20] Speaker A: Welcome to mini Meditations. I'm Jennifer James, co host of the Common Mystics podcast.
In this series, we'll be taking a few moments out of our busy lives to delve into the transformative power of meditation.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting to explore the world of mindfulness, I'm here to guide you through quick and effective meditative practices that can help you manifest your ideal life one moment at a time.
Let's take a moment today to harness the power of healing.
We'll start by setting an intention.
What is it that you wish to heal?
Is it a physical ailment that needs attention?
Do you have emotional pain that's weighing you down?
Say your intention aloud now in your mind or with your voice humbly invite spirit to guide you through today's mini meditation.
[00:01:50] Speaker B: Now let's find a comfortable position.
Either sitting in a cozy chair or lying down on a soft surface and gently close your eyes.
Allow your body to settle in, ensuring that you feel relaxed and supported.
Now take a deep breath in through your nose, feeling your diaphragm as it expands fully, as if you're filling up a balloon with air.
Once more, take a deep breath in through your nose, but hold it for a moment, savoring the fullness, and then exhale slowly through your mouth, releasing any tension you might be holding.
Imagine each breath out, taking with it any stress or discomfort.
Let's do that a couple more times.
Inhale deeply, filling your lungs. Hold and exhale, letting go of that weight, feeling lighter with each cycle.
Now picture a warm light shadow shimmering above you, radiating a sense of strength and vitality.
[00:04:15] Speaker A: With each inhale, imagine that light pouring.
[00:04:20] Speaker B: Down gently like a soft waterfall surrounding you and filling your body with warmth and healing energy.
As you breathe out, visualize any pain, stress or negativity as dark smoke leaving your body, swirling away and dissipating into the air far away removed from you.
Focus now on a part of your body that needs healing.
Maybe it's your heart aching from emotional burdens or your mind tangled with thoughts.
Maybe it's a physical area that's been bothering you.
As you breathe in the light, direct it to the area of need.
Imagine the light so soaking in soothing, mending the pain and hurt like a gentle balm, visualize the warmth spreading through the body, bringing comfort and ease, melting away any discomfort or tension.
Allow yourself to stay in this moment for as long as you need, embracing the tranquility and healing energy around you.
Whenever you're ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the room.
Start by wiggling your fingers and toes, feeling the connection to the present moment.
When you feel ready, gradually open your eyes, carrying that profound sense of peace and healing with you throughout the rest of your day, ready to face whatever comes your way with renewed strength and calmness and health.
