Show Notes

On this episode of Common Mystics Jen and Jill tell a true story of courage, perseverance and survival against all odds.* During the French and Indian War, Mary Draper Ingles and her two young sons were captured by Shawnee raiders. Soon after, her sons were taken from her and she was forced into servitude. It was at Big Bone Lick in present day Kentucky that she fled into the wilderness. Incredibly, she would trek 600 miles to get home. But her family would continue to be plagued by conflict and violence.
