[00:00:28] If you're attuned to the energy in your surroundings, you've likely felt drained or overwhelmed after being around certain people or situations.
[00:00:41] That's because your sensitive energy field can absorb the energy around you, whether it's uplifting or not so great.
[00:00:51] The good news, you can protect yourself.
[00:00:56] Here's a simple guided meditation to create a shield around your energy and keep you centered and balanced.
[00:01:06] This exercise can be particularly useful before tackling a stressful situation, such as a challenging conversation or visiting an overwhelming environment.
[00:01:20] Whether it's a crowded amusement park or a packed stadium, or even a lively family gathering, this practice can help you prepare and stay grounded.
[00:01:35] Now, let's begin.
[00:01:40] Find a quiet and comfortable place where you won't be disturbed. Sit cross legged on the floor or in a chair with your feet feet flat on the ground.
[00:01:52] Rest your palms on your knees or in your lap.
[00:01:59] Start by taking a few deep, cleansing breaths.
[00:02:05] Breathe in deeply.
[00:02:08] Hold it for a couple beats and exhale slowly and completely.
[00:02:15] Repeat this a few more times.
[00:02:18] Breathe in.
[00:02:21] Hold.
[00:02:23] Now exhale slowly and completely.
[00:02:29] Once more.
[00:02:31] Breathe in.
[00:02:35] Exhale.
[00:02:41] Now imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet, moving deep into the earth's core.
[00:02:55] Feel the connection with the steady grounding energy of Mother Earth.
[00:03:04] Say to yourself silently or aloud, I am grounded.
[00:03:15] I am safe.
[00:03:22] If it's safe to do so, close your eyes.
[00:03:28] Picture a bright white light starting to form above your head.
[00:03:39] This glowing light represents powerful protective energy that only has your highest good in mind.
[00:03:55] Visualize this light cascading down around your body like a waterfall of pure glowing energy.
[00:04:10] Envision it wrapping itself around you, forming a strong yet soft bubble of pure light.
[00:04:28] This shield, impenetrable to negativity or harm, but it still lets in love, positivity and high five energy.
[00:04:51] Feel this light shield grow brighter and stronger with each breath you take.
[00:05:10] Visualize this shield sparkling, pulsating and shimmering, brightly sealing in positivity, love and high vibrational energy.
[00:05:35] Now, silently or aloud, repeat the following affirmations to strengthen your protection.
[00:05:47] I am safe, protected and surrounded by light.
[00:06:00] Only love and positivity can enter my space.
[00:06:14] My energy is my own and I release anything that does not belong to me.
[00:06:30] We will repeat these affirmations twice more, feeling your shield grow more powerful with each repetition.

[00:08:10] To anchor and seal the energy, gently visualize another layer of sparkling light sealing your bubble around you.
[00:08:23] Imagine it locking in your high vibrations and locking out anything harmful or draining.
[00:08:47] Now bring your awareness back to your breath.
[00:08:53] Slowly wiggle your fingers and toes to bring yourself back to the present moment.
[00:09:00] Open your eyes when you're ready.
[00:09:04] You're now shielded and ready to face the world, empowered and protected.
[00:09:12] You may wish to make this meditation a daily ritual, especially before heading into crowds or emotionally charged situations. You can also use simple actions like placing your hand over your heart or taking three deep breaths during the day as a reminder to activate your shield.
[00:09:35] Finally, energy cleansing tools like Sage, Palo Santo or Sound Bowls can complement this meditation to clear unwanted energy from your space.
[00:09:50] Remember, your energy is yours and protecting it isn't only an act of self care, but also a powerful way to ensure that you can share your light with the world without depleting yourself. Whenever you feel vulnerable or drained, remember this meditation and reclaim your space.
